Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 places an explicit “duty to manage” on the duty-holder.

An important element of this duty is to ensure that there is a “written plan” that sets out in detail how the risks from asbestos containing materials (ACM's) will be managed, to take the necessary steps to put the plan into action, and to periodically review and monitor the plan and the arrangements to act on it so that the plan remains relevant and up-to-date.

PA Group has a wealth of experience of preparing and developing Asbestos Management Plans and policies, and work closely with clients to ensure that documentation is appropriate and tailored to an individual organisations’ needs.

The development of Asbestos Management Plans are based on consultation with clients, gathering information that enables our team to develop suitable and sufficient documentation that is tailored to the specific needs of our clients.

The key steps to the development of your Asbestos Management Plan are as follows:

  • Consultation with you to assess your requirements and study of existing data and arrangements

  • Preparation of an Asbestos Management Plan

  • Review of your plan with you to discuss its impact and ensure recommendations meet with your needs

  • Meeting with you to explain the details of the management plan and its implementation

  • Training and instruction for your representatives that will be responsible for the implementation of the plan and to all stakeholders

  • Regular review of the plan to ensure relevance and suitability
